Resurrecting Your Dreams: Reinventing Your Career, 2nd Careers and Breathing Life Into Dead Dreams!”

Resurrecting Your Dreams

Reinventing Your Career, 2nd Careers and Breathing!!

Wake Up! Stop dreaming! Let’s breathe some life into what we really want to do in life. Don’t you remember when you were a child you had dreams of doing the impossible and you actually believed that you can do it? You were unstoppable in your thoughts and then you grew up and life got in the way. You know ….go to school, get a job, get married, start a family, prepare for retirement and hope that you can love the life that you settled into.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that we need to keep our heads down and follow a template for living.

Well… wait a minute! Who said that’s it and that’s how your life should be. Believe me, there’s nothing wrong with getting things in order for the future, working and saving for a rainy day. BUT…when you are NOT HAPPY at the 9 to 5 job or career,(there is a big difference you know) when do you step out on FAITH and make a career move?

Do you find yourself reminiscing about your childhood and all of those dreams you had to be different, to make a difference? How passionate you were and eager to make it happen no matter the cost. Again I ask what happened? It’s never too late to resurrect or reinvent yourself.

As humans, we become very comfortable in our lifestyle patterns. Patterns of not thinking out of the box, patterns of burying our dreams that made us come alive when we thought about them. Come on “Uncancel Your Dreams!” Let’s live on our own terms. Reclaim your life again!

We all want to live out our dreams and create the life we want. But it can be scary.

Let’s look at some factors that may deter us from making our life long dreams to becoming a reality.

  • It’s scary to think about what will happen if we follow our hearts when it doesn’t seem very practical.

  • It’s scary to give up the safe, predictable existence of the 9 to 5.

  • It’s scary to do what you think you can’t do.

  • It’s scary to think that you might fail.

  • It’s scary when you’re not sure where to start.

Okay, now that we got the fear factor out of the way let’s get busy and start living again!

It’s time to reclaim your personal power and freedom.

We could stay small, we could play it safe. But that’s not a life, that’s just existing. Aren’t you tired of just existing in this world? It’s time to make your mark in this world. If you want to live on your terms, you have to stop seeking permission. The best way to get permission is to not need it.

So let’s let go of…

  • Letting our lives be dictated by fear of failing.

  • Allowing uncertainty about where to start, keep us from ever taking the first step to living our dreams.

  • Trying to create the perfect plan or waiting for the perfect time to start your dream journey. (Here’s a hint: that time will never come.)

  • Thinking that we have to live the way others tell us to. (We can make our own rules.)

  • Settling for something other than what we truly want.

The most effective ways to improve your life are often counter-intuitive. They go against conventional wisdom and what’s supposed to work. In this guide, I’d like to share with you the strange, but highly effective strategies I’ve learned.

These shifts will allow you to:

  • Quit your job and create an income doing something you love.

  • Spend more time doing the things you enjoy (hiking, martial arts, and writing).

  • Design your schedule the way you see fit. (you can take trips out of town at the spur of the moment.)

  • Spend more time with your family.

  • Wake up excited about your life.

It’s time to resurrect your dreams.

Think of the life you really want to create (not the one you think you should live). You know, the one that keeps nudging you as you sit in your chair, or on your couch. Imagine how it will feel to accomplish it. Imagine how proud you will be of yourself. Imagine how proud partner, your family, children, or future children will be.

Imagine the positive impact you will have on this planet, by having the courage to follow your dreams.

Hey! I’m just saying……
